University of A&M College Station
Alumni Magazine
Maroon is Texas A&M University’s biannual alumni magazine, published in print each spring and fall for alumni, sponsors, parents, and the broader Aggie community. The publication celebrates the people, experiences, and stories that define the Aggie spirit, including the lasting impact of philanthropy across the university. I designed one- to two-spread feature stories, developing visual approaches tailored to each story, scope, and budget.

I developed visual directions for each story, balancing professional photography and commissioned illustration based on the story, scope, and budget.
For photography-led features, I researched and hired photographers and art directed photoshoots to capture imagery that supported the editorial narrative. For illustrated features, I sourced and hired artists whose unique styles complemented the subject matter while adding visual variety and pacing throughout the publication.
I collaborated closely with hired photographers and illustrators from initial concept through final artwork, ensuring each feature’s visuals integrated seamlessly with the overall editorial design.
