Published bi-monthly, Texas Architect is a regional architectural periodical that informs a national readership about new work by members of the Texas Society of Architects and other practitioners with ties to Texas. Autonomously published by the Texas Society of Architects, each edition features recently completed projects and other editorial content largely written by AIA members in Texas.

I developed editorial layouts for Texas Architecture Magazine, using the architecture and subject matter of each feature to determine the appropriate visual and typographic approach. I researched references and studied the photography, drawings, and supporting content to understand how each story could be paced visually and how the design could reinforce the architectural narrative.

I collaborated with editors and writers to translate complex project information into clear, engaging editorial spreads, carefully balancing imagery, captions, text, and graphic elements. From initial layout concepts through final production, I focused on creating a system that felt cohesive across the publication while giving each architectural story its own visual identity.
