Coloradan is a tri-annual Alumni Magazine for the University of Colorado Boulder. Uniquely shaped to a near square when open, this publication is refered to as the “slim-jim” magazine for it’s vertical composition when closed. Browse through a handful of features below.

I developed visual concepts for editorial features within the Coloradan Alumni Magazine, using the subject matter and intended audience to guide the visual approach for each story. I researched potential photography and illustration directions, considering how imagery could add context, personality, and visual pacing rather than simply supporting the written content.

I collaborated with editors and writers to understand the focus and tone of each feature, then sourced and coordinated visual assets that complemented the editorial narrative. From selecting imagery and establishing art direction through layout and final production, I ensured each feature felt distinct while remaining cohesive within the larger publication.
